Real physics,
built by hand.
Sava's Physics Simulator is a desktop sandbox from Sava Studios where you build experiments instead of watching them. Drop in a ramp, a pendulum, a circuit, a pair of magnets — and see every force, every formula, live.
A physics lab that shows its work
Sava's Physics Simulator is a real 2D physics engine (Box2D under the hood), not a pre-recorded animation. Every ramp, pendulum, spring, magnet and circuit you build is actually simulated step by step, and you can see every force acting on every object — weight, normal force, friction, drag, tension, electric and magnetic forces — as live numbers and vectors, not just a bouncing shape.
Beyond the sandbox, it ships with a 200+ formula lab with step-by-step derivations, an equation solver, a function grapher, vector lab, optics bench, nuclear/quantum/acoustics labs, and a circuit builder with live current and voltage.
It's built for curiosity first: quick-build buttons set up a working pendulum, lever, spring or magnet pair in one click, so you don't need to know what a "joint" is to start experimenting — but the real physics underneath is always there when you want to dig in.
Twelve ways to see physics work
Everything in one app, all talking to the same real physics engine.
Physics Sandbox
Build ramps, levers, pendulums, springs and magnets. Watch every force live.
Formula Lab
200+ formulas across mechanics, E&M, thermo and more — every one derived, step by step.
Math Solver
Equations and inequalities solved for any unknown, with full working shown.
Function Grapher
Plot functions, relations and vector fields, pan and zoom with WASD.
Vector Lab
Add, project and visualise vectors in 2D and 3D.
Optics Lab
Mirrors, lenses, refraction and prisms with real ray tracing.
Space Lab
Orbits, black holes and curved spacetime.
Nuclear Lab
Fusion, fission, decay chains and binding energy.
Acoustics Lab
Waves, the Doppler effect, resonance and decibels.
Quantum Lab
Wave packets, tunnelling, the double slit and atoms.
Electronics Lab
Build circuits with batteries, bulbs, LEDs and capacitors — live voltage and current.
Magnets
Real dipole fields, attraction and repulsion, soft-iron induction — see the field lines.
Built in a few clicks
Quick-build tools set up a working mechanism instantly, and every lab shows the real forces and signals as they happen.
One-click lever
A balanced bar, a fulcrum and two weights — already moving.
Magnets with visible field lines
Attract or repel with one click, and see the dipole field that causes it.
Circuits that actually run
Close a switch and watch real current light the bulb — voltage and amps update live.
Wave interference you can hear
Two sources, one real 2D wave simulation — microphones show the interference pattern live.
Free and open source, on purpose
Sava's Physics Simulator is released under the GNU GPLv3 — no paid tier, no license key, no catch. The full source will be on GitHub for anyone to read, build, or contribute to.
